Like everyone, my unique life experiences have led me to who I am today as a person and a professional. It is no surprise given my formal education that data and databases are my forte. Strong data analytic skills are what served me well throughout my career. In my first professional position, I worked three years as a Software Engineer at a supply chain logistics firm, and Dell was my primary client.
I then accepted a Software Manager position at the original production tax division of eepb (which was subsequently sold in 2015), where I quickly grew into a Senior Consultant and ultimately a Partner. In that position I gained several years of valuable experience working on production tax projects. I represented numerous oil and gas clients on their production tax refund claims, achieving a very high audit success rate. In this capacity I developed an in-depth understanding of the complexity of marketing cost deductions and the nuances of efficiently gathering the appropriate data to properly support these deductions.
I formed my own production tax consulting company (Optum Consultants LLC) in 2013, and had a very successful second run, generating several millions of dollars in production tax savings and refunds for my clients.
In April of 2021, eepb and I joined hands to create a larger practice, Production Tax Consultants, LLC (a new affiliate of eepb). Together with eepb I look forward to adding significant value to our exploration and production company clients. We will combine our extensive oil and gas industry experience to minimize production tax for our clients, on both a retroactive and prospective basis. I welcome you to join my journey as we take next steps together.
